Does She and Did I?

Hello everyone,

Does She?

Something has happened around here that I thought you may all find a teeny bit amusing.
One evening son number two and dil to be came around for a visit. So far so good...

"Would you like a cup of tea or coffee?", I said . Fairly harmless question I would have thought.

"Yes please, tea"

Still safe.

"I'll make it for you shall I? said dil heading to the kitchen. I told you I loved her, she is like that all the time, sweet and kind.

I followed along and put the kettle on and then...

"Umm hmm , what's this then?" she said  whilst rummaging around in the cupboard for mugs!

Oh yes my friends,  that is my husband's I love to spank my wife Mug!! Haven't you all got one of those lurking in the kitchen somewhere?

She looked at me and I looked at her, we both giggled and I blushed and  shoved it to the back of the shelf and fished out some harmless spotty mugs instead.

Fast forward to last night and it is band practice for my son and his group. Hubby is there watching with dil and  she says something about a song they had played.

Son  laughingly says " Don't worry I will slap her later!"

Another band member says " Better do it somewhere it doesn't show"

Dil turns to my husband and grins, he grins back!! What does she know?........

If she isn't 100% sure don't forget this is the dil I have given the instructions to dispose of the toy box if anything happens to us. She has a pretty fair idea I reckon.

Did I?

Did I lose weight this week?

                                                                       Yes I did!!!!

Two and a half pounds in fact and dil managed to do the same so we were both smug when we got home. I have seven pounds to  go to get to target and this has spurred me on to try a bit harder! Another chocolate, cake, biscuit free week coming up :(

It feels like it is taking forever!

I like burning off calories with my beloved, but I can think of a few other ways ;)

Anyone know how many calories it takes to be spanked? I do squiggle about a bit, lol

Hope you are all happy and well and enjoying ttwd

love
     Jan,xx

  5. I love that you have such a wonderful DIL. My son is married to a lovely man, but it did cause me to miss out on a DIL and I know my daughter will never tease or joke with me about this. Others, maybe, but never with her mom.

So glad you lost weight. Mine is determined to stay the same or nearly so. Discouraging!

    1. Hi PK, I couldn't be closer to her than if she was my own, lucky me. Our consultant always says,, you can only do it for you and nothing changes unless you change it! I thin we all like her so much that we do it for her. Dil says she is like a nanny!

  7. Hey Jan...happy you have such a lovely relationship with your DIL. I'm betting she has her suspicions...could be that your son spanks her also. ;) Congratulations on the loss! Wish I could lose some.

  8. Greetings, Jan,

I don't think my DIL has suspicions, but I wonder about one of our sons. Really hope not, though. That would make me very uncomfortable.

Only 7 pounds to go! Good for you, Jan. You are doing great!

  12. Hi Jan, your dil sounds awesome! I love your dil reactions about the spanking mug, and somehow I am almost sure that your son might also need a mug like your husband’s. Both of them seem to be rather relaxed about spanking, don’t they?
Oh wow! Congratulations on the weight loss. More than two pounds is amazing. I am glad that you took your dil with you, it is much more fun to work out then. Uhm do you get a reward for being so good? Not sweets, I mean something like a fun activity, going to a restaurant, shopping, cinema, day trip to a place of your choice?
I am sorry about another week without chocolate, cake and biscuits, however your dil and you are doing so well together that it is maybe easier to get those last seven pounds down in time for Christmas.
I am so happy for you having such a wonderful dil, and I love having such awesome news from you.

    hugs and love

    1. Hi Nina sweetie, she is awesome!! They are used t their bonkers parents now I reckon, lol I never usually lose more than a pound at a time so I was surprised and very pleased. I would love to lose again this week. I do get rewarded, he always thinks of something ;). Once I have managed to stop the chocolate and sugary stuff for a week or so I then don't crave it so much and I have got there this week. I am not missing it so much at the minute, and the scales were down this morning, that spurs me on to keep going. I think dieting is the one thing you can only do if you really really want to. If you are in two minds about it you just keep on cheating and that is where I usually get stuck. lol.
How are you? Tilda and baby okay? I imagine things are difficult for your family at the moment, please know I am thinking about you
      love to Tilda

  13. Great job on the weight loss. I think having a paddle shop in our house is enough information for kids to deal with for now. They do believe us that the paddles are for other people and the ones we sell are, right, so no lies. Your dil (to be ) sounds awesome, with four boys I am really hoping that I will have the same luck as you

    1. Hi Blondie, I bet they have some idea but don't want to think about it! You are bound to get at least one fab dil out of four tries!! I think the trick is to always come across as if you approve even if you don't. Son number two has had a couple of girlfriends in the past that I really didn't like but I would never have told him. I just hoped he would work it out for himself and was nice to them. Once he met this girl though I was extra positive and made it quite clear how much we loved her and hey presto they are engaged and living five mins walk away!! I am so lucky as son number one lives 3 hours away :(. I hope your daughter is getting on okay over here, she's lucky , the weather is really good at the moment, break her in gently to the grey ahead!

  14. Wow Jan! What a daughter in law to have! I am speechless with envy. But perhaps it is easier with a DIL than with a daughter to have such 'moments'. Everything here is hidden away in my knicker drawer! LOL!

You are doing so well losing weight - but don't lose too much - you were very, very slim when I last saw you! You looked terrific! I cannot imagine that you would wish to lose much more.

    Many hugs
