The "Spank Me" Charm!

Just a quickie to make you smile....

A couple of years ago my husband bought me a necklace for my birthday.

It is silver, with a little tiny ruler and a charm that says "spank me!" on it. I love it but am very careful where and when I wear it.

I would never wear it when I am at work or out with the kids. Last weekend, we were having a day in on our own  ;) so on it went. Thought I might give hubby a hint .

Later in the day, surprise visit from son number two and dil to be  ( have I mentioned that they live a couple of minutes walk away and I am now wondering if that is a good thing, lol)

Husband and son were in the loft searching for  Christmas decorations for the kids (don't ask, they are as mad as us those two) Daughter in law and I were standing chatting at the bottom of the ladder waiting for them to pass us things.

She leaned in a bit and ....

"Does that say what I think it does?", she said all innocent like, (little mischief maker).

My hand flew up to cover it and I went bright red.

"Er, yes "

Now I know that wasn't exactly a witty  response but was there one I could have made at that point, Seriously I still can't think of anything I could have said to make this one go away.

She giggled, I giggled and son said  " What, what does it say?"

"Don't you tell him " I hissed, "He will die of embarrassment"

"Nothing " she trilled back sweetly. Now you know and I know that she will have told him the second they left the house. Could you have kept that a secret from your beloved? Exactly....

Fast forward to yesterday and they are here again as dil and I have just dragged son to a craft fair. Have I told you how besotted he is with her?  Just as they are leaving he swats her rear end as she walks past him.

I blurted out  "That's exactly what  dad would have done!"

"Where do you think I got it from ?" he says.

"You got off lightly darling, dad would have walloped me harder than that!"

" She tells me off if it's too hard!" Now that I laughed at.

"I am used to it " I said. Seriously did I actually say that out loud! What is wrong with me?  I was having a conversation about being spanked by his dad and and none of us were batting eyelids at it.

There is no doubt in my mind that these two know exactly what we get up to and are not far off getting up to it themselves! Happy families.......

I hope you are all having a great weekend,  ours is hopefully alone!!
love

  3. Hi Jan, it is wonderful to have news from you, and it definitely made me smile, more like grin.:) I love the necklace and would probably only wear it in the safety of our home too. But it definitely seems that your dil to be and your son are into some sort of spanky action too. I love that thought, because for me this is also connected with a happy family life (can't wait for next year when I can have spankings again) . :)
Your dil and your son must be so lovely, and I am so happy for you having this wonderful and lovable family. Wishing you a great weekend, with all the good things that you can do when you have the house for yourselves.

    hugs and love

    1. Hi Nina, I have a bracelet of beads that spells out spank me in Morse code too. That one I can wear any time as no one can tell. Not long to go till you are back in spanking form! I hope everything is going well with the new baby and lots of hugs to Tilda

  6. I think you can safely assume your secret's out, they've had enough clues! What a great compliment that they want to emulate that side of your relationship.

Do you wear the necklace as a hint?

  7. This makes me so happy. And it feels so RIGHT. We are who we are, we know what makes us happy and so often we have to hide it like there is something wrong with us. There isn't! I think our marriages are stronger for TTWD. Be proud I think you have a great family!

  8. Wise words from PK. Now that the secret is out, I am wondering what you might expect under the tree this Christmas. Your dil sounds like a special girl.

I had 3 little metal discs stamped. One says "sam", one says "ella", and the third says, "ttwd." I am careful where I wear it.

I think you should turn this into a story, Jan. It seems to have my favorite ending.

  10. Love the necklace Jan and am still laughing at the interaction between you, son and DIL. You ought to see if you can find another necklace like that and gift it to her...secret birthday or Christmas present. ;) Thanks for sharing.

  11. Hi Jan! I love this. Its nice not to have to hide everything isn't it. Your son and DIL probably get enough examples of your love that they don't doubt any expression. Humor and playful acknowledgements are perfect with you all! Maybe you can get them something! *wink.* Oh LOL just read Cat's comment! We think alike!

  12. Good grief, Jan! Shall I lend you a megaphone?

Seriously, I think they all like to swat their wives/girlfriends/whoever from time to time on their behinds. Our son does the same to his. But never in a month of Sundays would I make a comment. You mad thing!

I have a feeling that John might be adding to that necklace soon if you aren't careful. LOL!

  13. LOLOL Jan!!! :) That cracked me up when your son told you about her telling him off if it is too hard!

Honestly, I think that it is pretty neat how you are finding your way to being honest and open for the most part about all of the spanky, loving stuff- with your son and DIL to be. They have seen all of the love that you and John have and well... all in the family! Why not! LOL!

I think that your necklace is really cool, and oops about forgetting to take it off! This whole post made me smile! Wonderful! Many hugs,

  16. Hi Jan, I've just added your blog to my reading list!
This story made me smile so much. :)
I have to admit, I do wonder about my younglings (preschoolers)... They love to jump around naked and swat their own and each other's butts and giggle and screech with fun. The other day, the older one proudly showed me how he was swatting his own bum. I asked why he did it, and he looked at me with an "isn't it obvious?" face and said "Because it feels good." Sigh. I know, kiddo, I'm just not ready to have that conversation with you...
