Is the Party Over?

Hi everyone,

Well that was a hectic couple of days out here in Blogland. I hope you all enjoyed the  Love our Lurkers party as much as I did.

Oh dear, Yes that is me!!

I feel exactly like that, actually for two reasons.
The first is the hectic days I spent trawling around the computer talking to all and sundry. I do believe I have added a coupleof new blogs to my friends list and braved speaking to a few I haven't dared to approach before.

The second is that I have had my little Grandbaby here all weekend and I babysat whilst son and dil went to a wedding.

Oh my goodness we had fun, and not much sleep. I think I could sleep for a week at the moment.  I think I must be getting old :( She is so beautiful, like a little dolly, bless her as she is tiny, thirteen weeks old and smiling all the time and just perfect. ( Yes yes I know I am biased but she really is)

I don't think lol day was as busy as last year but I hope I have made new friends and it is great to chat to my old pals just because we could. Let's hope that a few more people will become brave enough to come out and play more often.
Blogging has been great for me, for advice, for fun, for stories (Yay!), for pictures, for always having someone who understands right there at the click of a button, I feel blessed to have met you all and so wish we were all a bit nearer. I would love to be putting the kettle on for you all

I would like to say a big Thank you to Hermione for hosting this year's event and to Bonnie for inventing it way back when.

I hope everyone of you had a lovely time.
Can't wait for next year.

Love
                  Jan,  xxxxx

  3. Hi Jan, I love that you had your little Grandbaby with you for the weekend, that must have been so awesome. Well, ok, the sleep, yes, absolutely get you on that one ... . :) But then again, you had so much bonding time, Yay! I think am projecting now, but I still inhale Tilda, actually any baby I can put my nose on, and somehow I imagine you doing that too. I am so happy that you had a wonderful weekend with Grandbaby, and hope you can catch up on sleep tonight.
LoL Day was fun, I enjoyed that it stretched over two days so that it was a little more relaxed; good idea, and thanks to Hermione for hosting this event again.
And thank you to you Jan, for blogging and being there. I love what you wrote about why blogging is great and it touches me more than I can express.

    hugs and love

  4. Hi Jan,
Grandbabies are just so good for the soul. But they do grow up just so quickly. I thought it was just last week that his highness was brought into the world.....and now he is getting ready for school next year. How the time flies.
Sleep; who cares about sleep. After she had gone a few good nanna naps and the world will be restored.
    Blessings

    1. HI Don, Oh the thought of her going to school, she is such a little dot. Although she is 13 weeks, she fits clothes up to one month, I love being with her and they live a few hours away so visits are treasured. I am knackered tonight , lol . I bet you are looking forward to Christmas with him, he's a lovely age for all the excitement

    1. Hi Cat, It was great to have her to myself, yes. They live three hours away from us but we are seeing her about once a month at the moment. We are lucky, I would hate to think I couldn't watch her grow up.
We need a few of those lurkers to brave our world.

I have taken my 8 year old nephew- who never stops, and I'm tired then. You do have strength and endurance!
I think last year was busier, but I think I ventured out farther this time.
Not sure I had a whole heck of a lot of traffic.... But fun it was!

    1. Hi Minelle, That's a great age if a bit wearing. The girls I teach are so keen then and so funny too. I went a bit further too, I had a couple of hundred page views according to google! I wish a few more would talk to us, after all it was talking to each other that helped all of us.

  12. Oh Jan, how lovely you had your Grandbaby for the weekend. Your son and dil are lucky you can help out. I know a couple of young couples who struggle as parents don't do much to help or live too far away.

Hope you have a good week.

  15. Jan, how wonderful that you got to spend time with that little angel. I am in that age group where my kids aren't little, but they're too young for their own children, for at least a few years ! But I miss having babies around. So you are lucky!!

  16. You are so lucky to have your Grandbaby for a whole weekend Jan. They are so precious at that age and grow way too fast. I have 7 grand children ranging from 13 down to 5 year old twins. the only thing is I wish they lived closer as I only see them a few times a year.

LOL day was so much fun and I met a few new bloggers. Always enjoy reading you blogs and so glad we have become friends. I would love to sit down over a cup of tea with everyone and get to know them more.
