These are the last of my March questions. I am a bit late in the answer department ,
but better late than never...
Katie asked these.
What does a great day look like for you? Do you have hobbies? How is Grandbaby? Do you ever get spanked for spoiling her and buying her too many clothes and toys?
A great day is just spent with hubby. We are enjoying retirement and love pottering round new towns and villages round us. A nice lunch out, a visit to a tourist attraction, I love a visit to a stately home. Doesn't matter about the weather, just an easy day. Also I love when I visit my oldies and they are well and happy ( as this is not on the cards at the moment, when this happens it is a really good day).
As to hobbies, I love love love reading. It has been my thing since I was a tiny girl and my kindle is my favourite possession.
I also enjoy sewing a little bit. I am not very good at it but I like a bit of patchwork and have made lots of bits for our home and especially grandbaby's room
Grandbaby is wonderful, she is gabbling on non stop, can count to ten, and knows some colours. She too is book mad. I wonder where she got that from! She traces the words with her finger saying da da da da as she goes! The best thing is she is coming for a holiday to Grandma and Grandpa's in June.
We love having her all to ourselves, we are having a wooden play house in the garden ready for her trip, and her wardrobe has a new selection of summer dresses ready and waiting.......and so onto your next question.
No, he is as bad as me, who do you think is building the house? ( I am making curtains and cushions.)
Yes we really are bonkers grandparents!!
Okay now onto Cat's question.
What four people living or dead would you invite for drinks and dinner?
For me the hardest question, I struggled with this one, toyed with having just my favourite authors but decided to branch out as I couldn't settle on just four!
Here goes, first of all I would have my friend Lindy. I fear that in real life our paths would never be able to cross so I would have her and Bear here for this.
Next on the list would be Bradley Walsh, a comedian, quiz host and all round nice chap
Just my cup of tea
Funny, beautiful, sweet, gentle she would be a perfect guest. When I was young I wanted to be just like her.
Gorgeous, hunky, Dom like, he will definitely top it off!
Today's questions are mostly book related so I thought I would put them together.
Have you ever thought of writing a spanking (or Vanilla) book yourself? What is your favourite implement and why?
I would love to write a book. I just can't think of a plot I haven't read! I have read thousands of books in my life time, truly and I cannot think of an original idea to save my life. If I could get started I reckon I would like to give it a go but I really don't think I have the skills for it. My favourite implement apart from his hand is a wide leather belt, no idea why, the thud , the sting , who knows? I am just kinky, lol
EL asks What are your three favourite books?
This is an impossible question. I love so many books. I know I am going to ramble on, it is books after all.....
My most favourite spanking author is Maren Smith. I swear if I read her books in print not on my kindle I would have read the print off the page. Have you been to the Castle?
I love everything she writes. Her Corbin's Bend books almost made me pack a bag and move!!
I also love love love Ashe Barker's trilogies. There are four sets of three and I couldn't put them down.
Deliciously English, sexy Doms and sweet heroines.
Of course I don't only read spanking books, I love mysteries especially Dick Francis novels
Horses, murder, super!!
Of course as a teenager I discovered the world of Jilly Cooper
Who hasn't enjoyed a joyous romp through the sexy scenarios created by this wonderful lady?
To be honest there are so many wonderful authors in the world, I am grateful to all of them. From Enid Blyton in my childhood to my blogger author friends of today I am so glad to share your work.
I have a couple of questions to go , Cat and Katie still to go....
Hope you are all having a great week, big hugs to Lindy, hope you get better soon.
Here are a few more answers to questions from PK, Meredith and Lindy.
Do you have a spanking that really stands out in your mind above all others?
Yes I do. Fairly early on we had a disastrous one. We were not so experienced as we are now and I cannot remember what triggered it but we had obviously been disagreeing about something. There had been no spanking about whatever it was and it was late at night and we were in bed unable to sleep. I said something that hubby misunderstood. It was nothing to do with spanking or ttwd but he suddenly got out of bed and ordered me over the pillows. I was half asleep and not really sure what had caused such a reaction. He didn't back down though and I did eventually get into position. At this point I felt this was an unfair spanking and vowed to show no reaction at all. he spanked and I lay there like a stone until he finally realised he was getting nowhere. He stopped , I huffed back to bed in silence and eventually went to sleep. The next day we discussed it all and realised it had all been a giant misunderstanding. Took a while to get our groove back. I did blog about it at the time and thankfully it has never been quite that bad since.
Do you ever have spanking's that end in delicious laughter?
YES we do, most of the time that is what happens here, lots of giggling from start to finish. Happy spankings are the norm. I hope they are for everyone.
Last for today is my dear friend Lindy.
What is the best part of ttwd for you? If you knew about it at the start of your marriage would you have started it then? What else do you like to do with John now he is retired?
The best part of twwd is the way it encourages us to spend more time and energy on each other. It is automatic now to concentrate on each other. I feel softer somehow when I am in ttwd mode. I don't think we would have started it in the early days. I don't think either of us would have had the confidence in ourselves. Also we live in a small house and spanking when the kids were about would not have been possible and when they were little we never left them with anyone else. Also hubby worked long hours, it would have been unrealistic to expect him to come home and deal with ttwd on top of it. Since he has retired I suppose I should say we like traveling and seeing the world, but in reality I am not keen. I just like pottering about doing the day to day stuff that we have done alone for all our working lives and can now do together. We do go out for plenty of days out and we spend a lot of time visiting the Grandbaby and her entourage. We have been away with friends, and we have been away alone a few times. Also we have spent a lot of time on the house, ( and money !). It is lovely being able to just get up and do what we fancy, at the moment I am planning a new kitchen :)
I am having this range, country style, ivory and wood. very exciting.
That's it for today, still have Cat, Ronnie and EL's questions to do..... Hope you all have a great weekend, love Jan, xx
