Just wondering if......

Hello everyone,

It is that time of year again and I was just wondering if you decorate your tree just like this

Wouldn't that spice things up a bit!

Ooh, the possibilities!

It is  one day of the year I fantasise about (come on I am a spanko it is one thing I am brilliant at!). I always want it to be so perfect. Christmas tunes playing gently in the background, a teeny bit of alcohol flowing, everybody jolly.

In actuality I turn into a Harridan, huffing and puffing at his Lordship. How long does it take to put those lights on that tree, the music ends up driving me bonkers, I drive him bonkers, the place is  a mess. Halfway through the day I could drink a bucketful of Prosecco! He is not so saintly either but I am not telling him, we all know where that would lead me to ....

But

Is it worth it?
Yes it is, I love love love my little house when it is all cosy and sparkly. My tree is beautiful, I treasure all my Christmas ornaments that hold so many memories and news ones to make more.

I am thinking next year I may try and distract him from my whining like this, lol.

While I was browsing I came across this picture, guess who it reminded me of

Yes, Grandgirl is exactly like this, she loves the Christmas decorations as much as me, the Christmas palava is just her cup of tea, my little sparkly girl.

So my friends, how is the wonderful month of December going for you? Are you all sailing through the preparations, relaxed and happy? Is it all jolly and fun I wonder. Oh wait, was that a flying pig  who just popped into the blog?

Oh dear! Well then make the most of those spankings you  we are all racking up. They are stress relief if nothing else and take the mind of all the other hundred and one things that still need to be done before that ONE day arrives, lol.

yes it is!

yummy!

A girl has needs.....

Now  what was my spending limit again? I feel a Christmas shopping trip coming on ;)

 Happy December my friends!

love
Jan, xx

  1. Jan,
What a cute post and so true to the way things are! We here are all decorated and now the cookie baking begins. I am praying that a few treats will not turn into too many. Love you,

  2. Hello Jan, as usual I have done little towards the festivities. I’m aiming to start shopping for presents tomorrow, though I have no inspiration!
We put up our tree on Christmas Eve, following a well-worn pattern. Harry brings in the tree, gets the decorations out of the loft and hangs the lights. Then he brings me a glass of champagne and leaves me to get on with it. His only stipulation is there must be red ribbons on the tree. I don’t think I’ll try it naked, those needles can be sharp!
I wonder if Grandgirl will still call the tree the ‘mustn’t touch’?

Fun post, I hope your Christmas spankings will be the good girl kind.
    Love, Rosie xx

    1. Omg I couldn't leave it this late, lol All the preparations are the best bit! Grandgirl headed straight in and kept touching a bauble or bell of bow ans saying what's that? She was sos weet until her parents came in and told her not to touch anything. Sigh, parents are a pain, she was having so much fun with her Poppa

  3. Thanks for sharing such a fun post, Jan and yes, the only blasted thing that has been done around here is my granddaughters Christmas presents ordered. Have not done any of my baking, decorating, clean up, etc. About ready to call my ex and tell him I need a stress relief spanking. Yea...not happening. LOL Here's wishing all your spankings are GGs. ;)

  4. Love your comment your hubby and lights on the tree, I always complained there were never enough lights, even when we bought a pre-lit tree.
This year, we just have a very small tree because we're going to California,if it hasn't burned down by then.

    1. Hi Sunny, oh dear, I feel for the poor people in California, pity they are not coming to you instead. It doesn't seem to matter how many lights are on the tree, there is never enough!

  5. This was so much fun, Jan. It doesn't cost anything to dream. Our tree is up but not decorated. We took off for a short trip to the mountains. Cold but beautiful!

Now it is time to get busy. Those outfits look a bit chilly to me. Think I will stick to a big cozy sweater.

    1. Hi Ella, a bare tree! how sad. Better get busy. You have to suffer to be beautiful is a phrase my mother always came up with when I was little(generally when she was yanking at my hair), who needs a jumper? lol

  6. Hi Jan, lol. Fun post and completely true to the reality. Dreams are nice though.

I haven't done a single thing towards Christmas yet, and Scrappy rears her head every year. Sigh

  9. Jan, a lovely post, made me smile. I've bought some cards and sent two small gifts abroad but that's about it. I've no idea what to buy everyone this year so will probably google for some inspiration. One year I did surprise P by wearing a Mother Christmas outfit. Wonder if I still have it:)

  10. Happy December to you! I like to shop and get things ready early so that the days leading up to the holidays can be more relaxed. The one thing we are always late with is the tree...and since I decorate with the kids I can assure you I will not be dressed like the ladies in the pictures (at least for a few more years anyways) :-) Thanks for the smiles :-) Hugs

  11. You crack me up. I love your description of reality. I can't wait to have grandchildren that enjoy the magic of Christmas and all of the decorations. I bet if I decorated the house naked, Ty would be more willing to help. And I could sure use that spanking. Lol

  12. I don't think I'd mind having my tree decorated like that. It would just be a matter of seeing how much those three ladies charge and sneaking them in so my Rosa doesn't see them. ;-)
